Bit 3's 413-1 VME to VME Block Mode DMA Adaptor supports theinterconnection of a Sun-3 or Sun-4 system to a VME system.The 413-1 consists of two printed circuit cards, one for the Sun and onefor the VME system. The two cards are connected with a round EMI-shielded cable or optional fiber-optic cable.The 413-1 has all the features of the 412 VME to VME Adaptor that is alsoavailable for Sun use. In addition, 413-1 has a Block Mode DMA feature.With the DMA feature, 413-1 can perform memory to memory transfersbetween the Sun's VME memory and the target VME system at speeds to 26 MBper second. If Dual Port RAM is installed, the transfer can also bebetween the Sun's VMEbus memory and the Dual Port RAM that is installedon the targeted VME system's 413-1 VME card. Dual port RAM is availablein sizes of 32 KB, 128 KB, 1 MB, 2 MB, 4 MB, and 8 MB.
